The National Birth Equity Collaborative (NBEC) has embarked on a partnership with the Atlanta-based managed IT service provider Cortavo for its managed IT solutions. Cortavo was founded to help small to mid-sized businesses by providing complete and affordable IT solutions. Their mission is to remove the complexity of business IT and provide everything businesses need to be successful, from cybersecurity, unlimited service desk support, hybrid workplace solutions, office connectivity, cloud data storage, hardware and software. Cortavo’s all-inclusive IT plans and support are designed to scale with businesses as they grow.
“As the world becomes increasingly virtual, NBEC’s leaders felt the need to engage business technology experts that can assist us in keeping up with this rapidly changing society,” said Shani Hunter, Chief of Staff for the National Birth Equity Collaborative. “Cortavo is an award-winning, industry-recognized company that is ahead of the curve. It is only natural that NBEC utilizes its services to assist us in supporting Black women, Black birthing people and their villages as we focus on advocacy transnationally.”
NBEC is one of the nation’s leading experts in, and an advocate for, change in the Black maternal health and infant mortality crises. As an organization focused on the sexual and reproductive health and wellbeing of Black women and birthing people world-wide, NBEC creates transnational solutions that optimize Black maternal, infant, sexual and reproductive wellbeing.
Established in 2015 by Founder and President Dr. Joia Crear-Perry, NBEC was created to combat the increasing rate of infant mortality within the most marginalized populations. Recognizing that ensuring better care for Black babies had to start with better care for Black mamas, NBEC expanded its mission to focus more on the mother’s experience along with baby’s in hopes of creating safe and healthy conditions for both moms and their babies. Our vision is that all Black mothers, their babies and their villages thrive.
“The Cortavo team is honored to work with organizations like NBEC, whose mission seeks to improve quality-of-life outcomes for disadvantaged Black communities,” said Tiffany Bloomer, President of Cortavo. “NBEC is a growing organization facing an outpour of public interest in their mission, coupled with their commendable social goals.”
Tiffany acknowledged that growth was a common challenge faced by many of the businesses that rely on Cortavo’s managed IT service.
“Growth is a good problem to have. And as NBEC faces it head-on, Cortavo is here to help them scale efficiently as they rapidly expand to meet the challenges of their mission. Reliable IT infrastructure, managed IT services and unlimited service desk support will position NBEC for great success and keep them on that path for many years to come.”
